WR Rumph’s Bulldogs debut pushed back again

Receiver Jonathon Rumph’s Georgia debut will have to wait at least another week.

Coach Mark Richt said after practice Wednesday that Rumph “tweaked” his hamstring again and will not play Saturday against North Texas.

“I don’t think he’ll play this game, unfortunately,” Richt said.

The junior college transfer made a splash with two touchdown catches at the G-Day game after a quiet spring to that point.

Richt indicated that offensive lineman Kenarious Gates (knee, ankle) and tight end Jay Rome (ankle) remain on track to play Saturday.
