It’s hardly been a secret that Georgia’s secondary has taken a bit of a beating this preseason as it copes with a young lineup with injuries that have hampered the squad’s development.
As beat writer Marc Weiszer wrote yesterday (article here), the secondary has become a primary concern as the Bulldogs prepare to face Clemson — a team that ranked sixth in the nation in scoring and 13th in passing a year ago.
Cornerback Damian Swann, who with a year of starting experience leads the secondary this year, said it’s been difficult but that he doesn’t worry much about those doubting the Bulldogs’ defense.
“That’s just noise,” Swann said.
