Georgia freshman cornerback Shaq Wiggins has moved into a starting role in the Bulldogs’ secondary. The freshman is sixth on the team in tackles for loss with three.

Wiggins spoke Monday to reporters about how the defense is responding to Saturday’s 41-26 loss to Missouri.

He said he was surprised how defensive coordinator Todd Grantham approached things in practice on Monday: “It was better than I expected. I thought he was kind of going to go buck wild on us.”
