Offensive guard Chris Burnette, freshman tailback Todd Gurley, nose guard John Jenkins and linebacker Alec Ogletree and safety Bacarri Rambo were named to the second team.
Jones, a junior, has 77 tackles, a nation-leading 22.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks an interception, seven forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries through 11 games.
Gurley has rushed for 1,260 yards and 16 touchdowns and became Georgia’s first true freshman to rush for more than 1,000 yards since Herschel Walker did so in 1980.
Burnette, a junior, is part of an offensive line that helped Georgia average 184.2 rushing yards per game and allowed quarterback Aaron Murray to rank in the SEC’s top five in total offense and passing yards per game.
Jenkins, a senior, has 50 tackles this season, including a combined 17 in the Bulldogs’ previous two games. He also had two tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and 15 quarterback hurries.
Ogletree, a junior, leads the team with 98 tackles through nine games and has 8.5 tackles for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery, and he returned a blocked field-goal attempt for a touchdown on Saturday against Alabama in the SEC championship game.
Rambo has a team-best three interceptions and 16 in his career, sitting in a tie with Jake Scott for the school’s all-time record. He also has 67 tackles and three forced fumbles.
The conference will announce its individual award winners on Wednesday and the SEC All-Freshman Team on Thursday.
Georgia (11-2) next plays on Jan. 1 in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Fla., where it will play Nebraska (10-3).
