UGA women’s golf in 11th after one round of Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – With a 24-over 308 in the opening round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, the No. 14 Georgia women’s golf team is in 11th place.

Manuela Carbajo Re led the Lady Bulldogs with a 2-over 73 and is tied for eighth individually, five shots off the lead.

Georgia also got a 3-over 73 from Kailey Walsh, a 6-over 77 from Rocio Sanchez Lobato and an 82 from Emilie Burger.

No. Arkansas shot a 293 to lead the tournament by three shots over both No. 3 North Carolina and LSU. No. 11 Vanderbilt is in fourth place at 296, followed by No. 4 Alabama, No. 17 Arizona State and Tennessee.
