Georgia held its final preseason scrimmage this afternoon at Sanford Stadium.
It was the starters and top reserves of Georgia vs. the scout-teamers simulating Buffalo.
“It was a great day, I think,” coach Mark Richt said. “Georgia won. We had a barn-burner today.”
If you are scoring at home, Georgia took a 49-48 overtime victory in the closed scrimmage. Buffalo was spotted 35 first-half points and the scrimmage began at halftime.
The biggest news of the day might have been that Richt said that he’s pretty sure sophomore tailback Ken Malcome will start the opener, but he said something could change.
Here are the stats. They are all from the Georgia side.
