UGA signee Turene heading to Fork Union

Georgia football signee Kent Turene said Sunday he is planning to attend Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy this fall.

Turene, a linebacker from Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., said he will leave on Saturday for the prep school.
Turene has not been certified by the NCAA Clearinghouse.

“I’ll be there for a semester,” said Turene, who said Georgia knows he will not be with the program this fall.

His plans in January? “Most likely, it will be Georgia, really,” but he said that other schools can pursue him. “It’s like you get re-recruited again,” he said.
