UGA men’s golf remains in 14th in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — The No. 10 Georgia men’s golf team remained in 14th place on Saturday in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters.

In the second round on Saturday, the Bulldogs carded a 16-over-par 304 to move to 31-over 607. California has the team lead at 11-under 565.

Senior T.J. Mitchell and junior Michael Cromie paced the Bulldogs on Saturday as each shot a 3-over 75. Junior Brian Carter and sophomore Sam Straka both signed for a 5-over 77, while sophomore Nicholas Reach had the Bulldogs’ non-counting score of 6-over 78.

Mitchell moved to 4-over 148, followed by Straka at 7-over 151, Cromie at 9-over 153, and Carter and Reach at 12-over 156. Patrick Rodgers of Stanford has the individual lead at 5-under 139.

The Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters will conclude on Sunday. The Bulldogs are slated to tee off at 12:12 p.m. Live results can be found at golfstat.com.
