The Georgia football team will begin its season with an early afternoon kickoff before playing a pair of games under the lights.
The much-anticipated debut SEC game for Missouri against Georgia on Sept. 8 is set for 7:45 p.m ET in Columbia, Mo.The matchup will be shown nationally on ESPN2.
“It’s going to be the first game in their stadium in the SEC, so I’m sure that will be an electric-type atmosphere,” Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham said. “It will be exciting for them as well as us.”
Georgia, expected to be a top-10 team in the preseason, opens against Buffalo on Sept. 1 in Sanford Stadium in an SEC Network game at 12:21 p.m.
After the Missouri game, the Bulldogs return to Athens for another night game on Sept. 15 against Florida Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. That game will be shown on CSS.
The only other game that the time is set is Oct. 27 against Florida in Jacksonville. That kicks off at 3: 30 p.m. on CBS.
