Tight end commits to UGA over Alabama, Notre Dame, others

Georgia picked up a commitment Tuesday from a tight end from North Carolina for its 2014 recruiting class.

Jeb Blazevich, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound product of Charlotte Christian School, picked Georgia over Clemson, Alabama, Ole Miss, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Blazevich is rated as the No. 10 tight end in the nation by Fox Sports Next. He’s the No. 3 tight end by ESPN.com and No. 90 overall prospect.

“Honestly, I just loved the coaches, coach (Mark) Richt, coach (John) Lilly,” Blazevich said. “I love what they’re doing there and they’re having a lot of success.”

Blazevich caught 30 passes for 379 yards and five touchdowns for the state independent schools champion, according to The Charlotte Observer. He becomes the fourth commitment for Georgia’s 2014 recruiting class.
