Blog: Three UGA games among top 25 of 2013

Given all of the wild and thrilling games that Georgia was involved in last football season, you had to figure that the Bulldogs would be well represented on a listing of the 25 games from 2013.

ESPNU is counting them down with rebroadcasts in the next couple of weeks.

Georgia’s 44-41 win over LSU on Sept. 28 is No. 20 and will air on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

The Bulldogs 34-31 overtime victory at Tennessee from Oct. 5 is No. 15 and will be shown at 7 p.m. on July 28.

The 43-38 heartbreaking loss at Auburn from Nov. 16 will air Aug. 1, 2 or 3 depending on where it ends up in a fan vote.

It’s already in the top five games of the year.

“You could see why college football is one of the most exciting sports out there,” coach Mark Richt said last year after those LSU-Tennessee back-to-back games. “It’s very, very dramatic stuff, and we’ve had the most drama in a two-week period that we’ve probably had in a long time when it comes to games that were tightly contested and hard fought.”
