Blog: Some Georgia football comings and goings

Here’s an update on the additions and one bit of attrition for the Georgia football team.

First, reserve defensive end/outside linebacker Dexter Morant has left the school “due to academic considerations,” according to UGA.

The rising redshirt junior from Manning, S.C., never played in a game for the Bulldogs. He worked on the scout team but was often sidelined during a career that included two shoulder surgeries.

Morant made news before his first practice at Georgia in 2010 when he left the team but returned after four days.
