A day after Georgia confirmed that Shaquille Fluker has left the program and intended to transfer, coach Mark Richt addressed the situation for the first time.
Fluker cited a lack of playing time as the reason behind the move. He had not played this season after he said he suffered a seizure this fall due to dehydration.
“I can’t comment on any medical situation, but everybody wants to play more, obviously,” Richt said. “I hope wherever he goes, he gets to play. I hope he finds a good home. I like him a lot, he’s a good kid. I’m very confident we had his best interest at heart the entire time he was at Georgia and we treated him well. There are things that can’t be mentioned that are private, but I’m very confident that we treated him well and I’m glad he’s going to find a new home, hopefully find a good one.”
