Recruiting blog: UGA coaches go ‘all out’ for 5-star DE Carter

The final weekend before national signing day on Wednesday was a big one for Georgia.

One visit that was not set in stone was that of MLK’s (Lithonia) Wesley Green. He did not make the trip, citing a “family emergency” as the reason. The Bulldogs are likely out of the running, making South Carolina his probable destination since it’s the only official visit he has had.

The biggest visitor in Athens was No. 1 in-state recruit Lorenzo Carter.

Sources told Rivals that the coaching staff went “all out” on Carter, and he was impressed with new defensive line coach Tracy Rocker. Georgia has been clinical with its recruitment of Carter, and is definitely in the best position of all of his suitors.
