Quick hitters: Freshman Carter mixes it up with Theus

Georgia outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins said freshman outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter mixed it up with junior offensive tackle John Theus in practice this week after a shove by Theus at the end of the play. ‚ÄúHim and Theus got into a little bout the other day. We broke it up before things got a little too hectic. I got a feeling he‚Äôs going to get into it with somebody again real soon.‚Äù ‚ĶHow does a player get through seven straight days of practices so far? ‚ÄúIf you don‚Äôt get in that cold tub, I don‚Äôt know how you‚Äôre going to make it,‚Äù Jenkins said of his 10 to 15 minutes after each practice. Georgia practiced under the hottest conditions so far this preseason Thursday afternoon with the temperature at 96 degrees early in the workout. …Jenkins said Davis who has played both safety and cornerback under Pruitt, has looked like a scholarship player and has earned the right to be awarded one. ‚ÄúHe‚Äôs working hard,‚Äù Jenkins said. ‚ÄúIt‚Äôs up to big daddy Richt.‚Äù
