Quick hits: UGA’s Bobo named 247Sports’ Offensive Coordinator of the Year

Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo was recognized as the 247Sports’ Offensive Coordinator of the Year. Despite a rash of injuries to skill-position players, the Bulldogs still rank in the top 20 in scoring and total offense. Bobo credited those around him. “You’re proud of the players and the coaches I coach with,” Bobo said. “It’s evident how they do a great job of coaching, just getting guys ready to play, especially guys that weren’t expected to play this year.”

… Reserve quarterback Christian LeMay missed his second straight day of practice. “He’s going through some things personally right now,” Bobo said. Head coach Mark Richt said LeMay was expected back today.

… Cornerbacks Damian Swann (strained neck) Shaq Wiggins (concussion) were limited in practice on

Thursday.
