Quick hits: Tight-end depth thinning for Bulldogs

Georgia’s tight end group keeps getting thinner.

Jay Rome is expected to be out all spring after foot surgery.

Now, redshirt freshman Jordan Davis is sidelined with a sprained knee.

That leaves Quayvon Hicks as the only healthy scholarship tight end. He played fullback last season.

Offensive line coach Will Friend said that sophomore offensive lineman Aulden Bynum worked some as a tight end Tuesday “so we could function as a group. … It’s hard to do 11-on-11 without a tight end.”

… Outside linebacker Devin Bellamy “has had a really good spring,” and is making a push for more playing time at a position that already has Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins, assistant Kevin Sherrer said.

… Paris Bostick is limited with a hyperextended knee and hasn’t done anything in practice, inside linebackers coach Mike Ekeler said.
