Quick hits: Swann, Conley appear likely to skip NFL draft, return for senior seasons

Count Georgia cornerback Damian Swann as back for his senior season. Swann seemed like a possibility to make the jump to the NFL entering the year, but had a rough first-half of the season. He said he didn’t even ask for information from the NFL draft advisory committee “because I don’t think I was successful as I was last year.” Junior receiver Chris Conley indicated he isn’t thinking much about leaving after this season for the NFL. He spoke more Monday about the Star Wars fan film he’s working on. Filming is pegged to start next month in Athens.

… Defensive lineman Garrison Smith (ankle) practiced in a regular jersey on Monday. “I’m going to go 100 percent today,” Smith said before practice. “The last practice (on Saturday) was actually the first practice I had cleats on again so you’ve just go to get used to it.”

… Walk-on outside linebacker Matthew Stagg has left the team, according to a team spokesman. Stagg was arrested in Athens earlier this month and charged with three misdemeanors including underage possession/furnishing alcohol and having an expired license. He did not play in a game this season.
