Georgia coach Mark Richt provided his daily Todd Gurley update Wednesday.
“He’s practicing to the best of his ability right now,” Richt said. “He’s hobbling around a little bit.”
The tailback had 187 total yards against Florida coming off an ankle injury.
Starting offensive left guard Dallas Lee hyper extended an elbow in practice Tuesday and missed the early portion of practice Wednesday to get treatment, Richt said, but returned to practice against the scout team.
“I’d say he’s probable,” Richt said. Freshman Brandon Kublanow is the No. 2 left guard.
Backup quarterback Hutson Mason on the chance to throw his first pass of the season Saturday: “Against North Texas, I had no problem with it because it’s pouring, it’s muddy. I honestly didn’t want to go out there and try to sling it around and we’d look ridiculous. We’d look like the Bad News Bears out there.”
Mason could get in his second game of the season Saturday.
