Quick hits: QB Murray back at practice after father’s surgery

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray returned to practice after traveling back earlier in the day from Tampa, where his father underwent surgery Monday for thyroid cancer. “He has a lot going on, but he’s able to focus in,” linebacker Christian Robinson said of Murray. “It is more important, his family, but he decided to come back to practice.”

…Outside linebacker Jarvis Jones didn’t practice Tuesday due to a right ankle sprain, according to Georgia.

…Receiver Michael Bennett had surgery for his ACL injury at St. Mary’s Hospital on Tuesday. “Surgery went great!” Bennett tweeted. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital today.

…Captains for the Oct. 20 game at Kentucky: Chris Burnette (offense), John Jenkins and Abry Jones (defense) and freshman Josh Harvey-Clemons (special teams).
