Georgia had several players out or limited from its full pads practice on Monday. Tailback Keith Marshall (shoulder contusion) and receiver Justin Scott-Wesley (shoulder sprain) were limited. Tight end Jay Rome (ankle), receiver Jonathon Rumph (hamstring) and outside linebacker James DeLoach (concussion) were out. The full pads practice is a rarity for the first day of a game week. “I felt like we needed to scrimmage a little bit,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. … ESPN’s “College GameDay” will have its set at the Myers Quad, the same spot where the morning pregame show set up in its last visit in 2008. That’s behind the Myers Hall housing community. ESPN Radio will also be on campus and set up at the Miller Learning Center near the University Bookstore and Tate Center. … Georgia’s game at Tennessee will kick off on Oct. 5 at 3:30 p.m. on CBS or 7 p.m on one of the ESPN networks. CBS is using a six-day option on its choice and will make a decision by Sunday. … Wide receiver Reggie Davis was named SEC Freshman of the Week after setting a Georgia record for longest receiving touchdown on a 98-yard scoring play from Aaron Murray against North Texas. He had two catches for 134 yards in the game.
