Quick hits: LB Wilson misses practice; WR Rumph expected to make debut

Georgia leading tackler Ramik Wilson missed Monday’s practice with a bruised knee, according to the official injury report. The inside linebacker leads Georgia with 61 tackles and has a sack and pass breakup. There was no word on his status for Saturday. … Coach Mark Richt said receiver Jonathon Rumph, who has yet to play for Georgia due to a hamstring injury, practiced Monday and should play Saturday. “He definitely can bring a lot,” receiver Rantavious Wooten said. “I don’t know where he’s at physically, but he’s 6-foot-5 whatever. He brings another element to our offense. He’s a red zone threat. You can throw that fade route to him.” … Safety Tray Matthews (hamstring) didn’t practice Monday and Richt said he’s day-to-day. … Cornerback Shaq Wiggins said he was surprised how Grantham approached things with his unit on Monday: “It was better than I expected. I thought he was kind of going to go buck wild on us.” … Injuries were a big storyline for Georgia heading into the upset loss to Missouri, what with tailback Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall and receivers Justin Scott-Wesley, Michael Bennett and Malcolm Mitchell all out. “They didn’t have many injuries on defense,” Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said Monday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
