Quick hits: Grantham thankful for title and raise; Theus could be starter; Harrow off team

Georgia defensive coordinator Grantham thanked Georgia president Michael Adams, athletic director Greg McGarity and football coach Mark Richt for his new title of associate head coach (and his $75,000 raise), but indicated that his duties will hardly change.

“I think that we’ve really just scratched the surface on what we can do,” he said. “We’ve just got to understand the things that got us here last year and continue to work hard to improve.”

…Prized freshman offensive lineman John Theus could push for a starting job, but where he will line up when practices begin is still to be determined. “We’re playing around with it a lot right now,” Bobo said. “It’s not going to be set in stone until we get out there and practice. I can’t really answer that right now where he’s going to start the first day of practice.”

..Georgia spokesman Claude Felton confirmed Friday that defensive back Quintavious Harrow has “left the team.” He did not provide the reason why, but it’s an academic-related issue.
