Quick hits: DL Atkins tweets he sprained MCL; Richt set to go to Columbus

Defensive lineman John Atkins tweeted out Sunday that the knee injury he sustained in the first half on Saturday was a sprained MCL and he expected to “be back in no time.” … Receiver Chris Conley on being named the spring MVP on offense. “It means that they trust you and they want to win games with you,” Conley said. Conley had two catches for 57 yards on G-Day, but was slowed some by a strained hamstring. … Richt said he expected today’s practice to be over by late afternoon. He is scheduled to appear in Columbus tonight for a UGA Day speaking engagement.
