QB LeMay getting more reps in practice

Redshirt freshman quarterback Christian LeMay got “a lot more reps” in Thursday’s practice as coaches prepare him for the backup role, Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said.

The plan is for LeMay to serve as the backup to quarterback Aaron Murray when Murray is healthy.

“The dynamic we have there is Hutson (Mason) is No. 2 if injury happens, but if it’s finish a game right now, it would be LeMay or (walk-on) Parker Welch,” Bobo said.

LeMay has completed 5 of 11 passes for 79 yards with two interceptions in the two scrimmages.

“There’s definitely improvement from last year, but still has a lot to work on and improve on,” Bobo said. “I like his attitude. I like how he’s progressed.”
