No. 4 UGA women’s tennis tops Vanderbilt

The No. 5 Georgia women’s tennis team improved to 12-2 overall and 5-1 in the Southeastern Conference Friday with a 5-2 victory over Vanderbilt at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

After picking up the doubles point, the Lady Bulldogs earned four singles victories to win for the seventh time in their last eight matches.

Georgia got singles victories from Lauren Herring (6-4, 6-2 at No. 1), Maho Kowase (6-1, 7-5 at No. 2), Silvia Garcia (3-6, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3) and Kate Fuller (6-3, 6-2 at No. 4).

The Lady Bulldogs will host Kentucky at 1 p.m. Sunday.
