A Georgia player won Southeastern Conference offensive player of the week honors on Monday.
Quarterback Aaron Murray got the recognition this week after tailback Todd Gurley was the pick last week.
Murray completed 17 of 23 passes for 309 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-30 victory over South Carolina on Saturday. That’s a 244.2 pass efficiency mark. The fifth-year senior moved up to No. 2 on the school’s all-time list for total offense with 10,907 yards. That trails only David Greene’s 11,270.
Georgia won’t make it three weeks in a row to get SEC offensive player of the week. The Bulldogs are off next weekend before playing North Texas on Sept. 21 in Athens.
