COLUMBIA, Mo. — Despite three players recording double-digit kill totals, the Georgia volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 19-25, 19-25) decision to the No. 18 Missouri Tigers on Friday at the Hearnes Center.
Georgia is now 14-5 on the year and 4-3 in Southeastern Conference action. Missouri remains unbeaten, boasting a 22-0 record that includes a 6-0 mark in the SEC.
Jasmine Eatmon, Tirah Le’au and Brittany Northcutt each finished in double-figures for the Bulldogs. Eatmon and Le’au led the way with 12 kills each, with Eatmon finishing with a .417 attack percentage. Northcutt added 11 kills, while Lauren Teknipp finished with nine kills. Chloe Buckendahl was effective from the service line, earning two aces to lead the team. Kaylee Kehoe recorded her first double-double of the season, finishing with 23 assists and 10 digs. Maggie Baumert also finished with 23 assists to help pace the Georgia hitters to an attack percentage of .307. Elena Perri led the Bulldogs at the net, recording three blocks, followed by Stacey Smith and Eatmon with two each.
Georgia returns to action at 2:30 p.m. Sunday when it travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. The match will be televised on CSS.
