Blog: Mark Fox postgame video & Gaines talks highlight dunk

The Georgia men’s basketball team is 3-1 in the Southeastern Conference.

It hasn’t been able to say that since 2007.

The Bulldogs pulled out a 66-61 overtime win over Arkansas Saturday in Stegeman Coliseum.

Mark Fox’s postgame comments are below in a video.

The highlight you might see on SportsCenter’s top 10 is a Kenny Gaines flying one-handed jam over an Arkansas player.

“Honestly, it got kind of quiet in the gym when I was about to go up,” Gaines said, “and I just heard Marcus (Thornton) say, `Dunk him!’ So immediately I looked for the rim to try to put it in there.”

Gaines said he might get a text from former Georgia teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope about it.

Thornton laughed when asked if she could credit for the second-half dunk that trimmed the Razorbacks’ lead to 36-34.

“I’ll take a portion of the credit, though,” Thornton said. “I’m glad he shouted me out on that.”
