Gym Dogs announce another addition to squad

Jasmine Arnold, a native Murfreesboro, Tenn., has enrolled at the University of Georgia and will compete for the Gym Dogs, coach Danna Durante announced Tuesday.

A J.O. Level 10 national competitor the last three years, Arnold trained at Elite Energy Gymnastics, and she was coached by Greg Dietz, Scott Lewis and Amy Milwood. She placed first on floor at the Nashville Nights Invite and was named Elite Energy’s 2012 Athlete of the Year. As a Level 9 gymnast, Arnold was a state beam and all-around champion and the all-around champion at the Tampa Bay Turner Invite and the Atlanta Crown Invite.

“Jasmine is a bright, hard-working young woman with an energetic personality,” Durante said in a news release. “We are thrilled she has decided to join our Gym Dog family. We see a lot of potential in her, and we are excited to be a part of her growth and development.”

Arnold and two other incoming Gym Dogs — Gigi Marino and Hayley Sanders — are enrolled at UGA for summer classes.
