Blog: Gurley SEC offensive player of week after career best rushing total

Georgia sophomore tailback Todd Gurley set a career high in rushing yards against Clemson on only 12 carries.

That was enough to go for 155 yards and two touchdowns and garner SEC offensive player of the week honors on Monday.

Gurley’s touches were limited due to a strained quadriceps from a 75-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of the 38-35 Bulldogs loss.

It was Gurley’s 10th career 100-yard game.

Here’s the list of them in order of yards:
Aug. 31, 2013 155 vs. Clemson on 12 carries with two touchdowns
Sept. 22, 2012 130 vs. Vanderbilt on 16 carries with two touchdowns
Sept. 29, 2012 130 vs. Tennessee on 24 carries with three touchdowns
