Georgia volleyball falls to Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. — The Georgia volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 15-25, 16-25) decision to the Auburn Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Brittany Northcutt registered a double-double for Georgia (13-11, 7-7 Southeastern Conference), finishing with 12 kills and 13 digs. Briana Bahr added nine kills in the effort, while Jasmine Eatmon, Tirah Le’au and Lauren Teknipp each finished with five kills each. Kaylee Kehoe led the way with 22 assists. As a team, Georgia registered six aces, including two each by Chloe Buckendahl, Kehoe and Allison Summmers.

The Bulldogs’ defense was led by Eatmon and Northcutt, who each finished with five blocks, including three solo stops by Northcutt. Summers finished with 27 digs.

Auburn improved to 17-8 overall and 7-7 in SEC play.

Georgia plays again at 7 p.m. Friday against LSU at the Ramsey Center.
