Georgia track has strong showing at Yellow Jacket Invitational

ATLANTA – Georgia’s track and field teams posted three top collegiate finishes and two improvements to the school’s all-time top 10 list Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Georgia Tech.

Briana Vaughn earned her second consecutive victory in the 100-meter days, posting a time of 11.72 seconds. Leonita Kallenou put her name in the Lady Bulldogs’ record books with a high jump of 5 feet, 11.25 inches, placing her at No. 10 all-time.

Jonathan Smith won his second consecutive race in the 100 with a time of 10.48, decathlete Devon Williams recorded a 14.30 in the
110 hurdles, good for 10th all-time in the school
record book, and Brendan Hoban finished in the 3,000 steeplechase in a time of 9:21.94.

Georgia will next compete April 5-6 at the Florida Relays.
