Four members of the Georgia women’s swimming team improved their provisional qualifying times in an attempt to increase their chances of making next month’s NCAA Championships during the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet at Gabrielsen Natatorium.
In the 200 breaststroke, Shannon O’Malley pushed her B-cut time to 2:11.09 and Olivia Boggs moved to 2:14.96. Sommers Creed got her B-cut time in the 200 butterfly down to 2:00.48, while Anna Neumeister improved her time in the 200 backstroke to 1:58.04.
Swimmers with provisional times are not guaranteed a spot.
The women’s NCAA championships are March 15-17 in Auburn, Ala., while the men’s meet will be March 22-24 in Federal Way, Wash.
