It has been a rainy Friday in Athens, but the wet stuff wasn’t falling as Georgia began its sixth spring practice late in the afternoon.
As suspected, offensive tackle Watts Dantzler wasn’t practicing after leaving practice on Thursday. The injury report later should update what his injury may be.
The punt team was working during one of the two periods the media was permitted to see today.
Punter Adam Erickson and snapper Ty Frix worked with the first team and punter Collin Barber and snapper Nathan Theus with the second team. Erickson took over the punting job from Barber late last season.
Tailback Keith Marshall (knee) is in a non-contact jersey but he was held out of one footwork drill that you can see above. Tight end Jay Rome (foot) remains out.
Former Georgia offensive lineman Fernando Velasco, now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was watching the offensive linemen. Former Bulldogs linebacker Rennie Curran also was around after speaking to the high school coaches in town for the clinic today.
