Georgia-South Carolina football game set for CBS national showing

The Southeastern Conference Eastern Division football showdown between Georgia and South Carolina is set for national television.

CBS will air the Sept. 13 game in Columbia with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff as the network’s first SEC game for the 2014 season.

As expected, the Georgia-Florida annual game in Jacksonville, Fla., will also be a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS.

The CBS broadcast team in the booth remains Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson with Allie LaForce as the new sideline reporter.

The only other Georgia game with a set kickoff time so far is the Sept. 20 home game against Troy. It will be at 12 p.m. and air on the new SEC Network. Athletic director Greg McGarity said last week that the opener against Clemson on Aug. 30 is likely to be a prime-time night game.
