Georgia is practicing under the hottest conditions so far this preseason Thursday afternoon with the temperature at 96 degrees early in the workout.
There was good news on the injury front with cornerback Shattle Fenteng taking part in the full pads practice in a non-contact jersey after being out for a few days. Also, outside linebacker Leonard Floyd has shed the green non-contact jersey.
Again, Georgia isn’t disclosing the nature of injuries but Fenteng appeared to have an arm/shoulder issue.
Inside linebacker Ramik Wilson remains a spectator watching others at his position.
Reggie Carter is working as the No. 2 linebacker now alongside Amarlo Herrera. Tim Kimbrough and freshman Detric Bing-
Dukes are next up. Ryne Rankin also isn’t practicing with some sort of ailment.
The tight end group was thin during the opening viewing periods for the media. Jay Rome, coming off foot surgery, is dressed out in a non-contact jersey but was on a stationary bike. I didn’t see Jordan Davis. That left Jeb Blazevich, Quayvon Hicks, Jared Chapple and Joseph Ledbetter.
Receivers Chris Conley and Justin-Scott Wesley (knee) are again practicing in a non-contact jersey.
Check out a blocking drill of the offensive linemen above on the lower turf field. Freshman Isaiah Wynn (No.77) is at the end.
