Blog: UGA practice report: Two-a-days arrive (with DL and DB video)

As Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks would say, let’s play two.

Or in the case of Georgia, it’s practicing two times on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs are holding their first two-a-day practices. They will do it four times total before breaking preseason camp next week.

Nothing of major significance apparent in terms of new injuries after the first full pads practice on Tuesday.

Jordan Davis wasn’t working with the tight ends from what I saw.

The ones that were left something to be desired in the hands department.

Jeb Blazevich, Quayvon Hicks and Joseph Ledbetter all had drops in a red zone drill.

The injuries are status quo the rest of the way: inside linebacker Ramik Wilson and cornerback Shattle Fenteng remain out. Georgia hasn’t disclosed what is keeping them out,

Receivers Justin Scott-Wesley (knee) and Chris Conley and outside linebacker Leonard Floyd are practicing in non-contact jerseys.

Quarterback Hutson Mason, who wasn’t throwing a couple of days ago, was passing in this practice. There may be caution there to avoid a sore arm.
