Practice Report: Intensity picking up
It’s getting closer and closer to the Clemson game.
Georgia coaches may be feeling the magnitude of the top-10 showdown with Clemson.
During the two open media periods this afternoon, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo requested that video not be filmed of the quarterbacks and tailbacks in one drill.
No big deal. He’s asked that before.
When the 10 minute window for reporters ended and media were on their way out of practice, one photographer snapped a shot as he was walking out of the receivers.
Mark Richt did not like that and shouted out to him that the practice viewing period for the media had ended and warned him about following the restrictions. Practice is entirely closed Wednesday and Thursday as Georgia has a couple of dress rehearsals.
Here’s one video I shot of the receivers today during the permissible viewing period. No audio is allowed from practice so there’s music accompanied again (well until it cut off).
No big news on the injury front.
Safety Tray Matthews (hamstring) is still practicing in a regular jersey. Offensive guard Chris Burnette was back at practice after sitting out Monday for what he said was a precaution following offseason back surgery. Wide receiver Rhett McGowan (ankle) is in a non-contact jersey.
Wide receiver Jonathon Rumph (hamstring) and safety Corey Moore (knee) remain out.
“I don’t think we’ll have either one of those,” Richt said earlier today.
