There are two more practices until Saturday’s G-Day spring game for Georgia.
The Bulldogs are on the field Tuesday afternoon with a new player in a non-contact jersey.
Star/nickel back J.J. Green is in a non-contact jersey but was working with the defensive backs early in practice.
Those DBs, by the way, continue to be in flux in the order they get sent out.
Working on the first team today along with cornerback Damian Swann and safety Corey Moore were walk-on safety Lucas Redd and once again walk-on cornerback Aaron Davis. Looked like Brendan Langley is still working as a safety. He was with the second team.
Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt yelled at reporters making their way around the field to go back. He didn’t want the media coming near the DBs when they were having to do some running in the second of two open periods today. So reporters reversed course and cut back to the field where the offense was working.
Receiver Michael Bennett, who missed the scrimmage on Saturday with a sprained ankle, was in a regular jersey and made a nifty one-handed catch early.
I did not see wide receiver Jonathon Rumph out there (but word came later that he is actually practicing. May have had conflict early in practice).
Offensive tackle Watts Dantzler (concussion) was practicing in a non-contact jersey.
The quarterback order behind Hutson Mason still looked to be Faton Bauta and Brice Ramsey.
Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, getting ready for his pro day next week, was at practice.
