Georgia men’s golf team in lead at Crooked Stick

CARMEL, Ind. — The No. 6 Georgia men’s golf team has a 3-shot lead after two rounds of the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate.

On Monday at the Crooked Stick Golf Club, the Bulldogs carded rounds of 7-over 295 and 2-over 290 for a total of 9-over 585. Florida State is in second place at 12-over 588, followed by Purdue at 13-over 589.

Junior Nicholas Reach is second individually at 1-under 143 following rounds of 1-over 73 and 2-under 70. Reach is two shots behind Arkansas’ Sebastian Cappelan (141).

Senior Keith Mitchell stands sixth at 3-over 147 as he recorded rounds of 2-over 74 and 1-over 73. Junior Sam Straka (1-over 73, 3-over 75) and sophomore Lee McCoy (3-over 75, 1-over 73) are 11th at 4-over 148. Senior Michael Cromie is 15th at 5-over 149 after loops of 3-over 75 and 2-over 74.

Playing as an individual, freshman Greyson Sigg shot a 5-over 77 and a 2-over 74 for a total of 7-over 151.
