Blog: Georgia men’s basketball tip times, TV released

The Georgia men’s basketball team will be on national TV just four times during Southeastern Conference play, down from six last season, according to the full league scheduled released on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs’ biggest attraction from last year’s team, SEC Player of the Year Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, is now in the NBA after the Detroit Pistons selected him as the No. 8 overall pick.

Georgia has a Feb. 6 home game against LSU on either ESPN or ESPN2 and games at Florida on Jan. 14, Tennessee on Feb. 18 and home against Missouri on Feb. 25 on ESPNU. The Bulldogs aren’t on CBS.

Georgia’s league schedule can be viewed as favorable in that it only plays one game against Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Alabama.

The Bulldogs return second-leading scorer Nemanja Djurisic, sophomores Charles Mann, Brandon Morris and Kenny Gaines and senior Donte’ Williams from a team that went 15-17 last season.

Georgia’s SEC schedule game dates and opponents were previously reported by the Athens Banner-Herald, but two dates shifted since then but not where they fell on the schedule.

The Bulldogs’ entire 2013-14 schedule has yet to be released.
