“It was a good weekend,” Georgia coach Jeff Wallace said in a news release. “I thought [Kate Fuller] and [Silvia Garcia] played great doubles and won the doubles draw, and I thought all of our players really played good singles throughout the whole entire weekend. The shootout was fun, playing the 10-point tie-breakers. Silvia was able to get through and become singles champion for the 2013 Bulldog Classic. I’m excited for all of our players.”
The six flight champions plus the runner-ups in flights one and two were awarded spots in the shootout. The shootout was a three-round single elimination draw consisting on 10-point tie-breakers. All six of Georgia’s players won their respective flights.
