Game 3 between Georgia, Arkansas rained out

Heavy rain washed out Game 3 between Georgia and Arkansas on Sunday at Foley Field.

The teams were minutes away from the 2 p.m. start when the skies opened and forced the tarp back onto the field. The rain fell steadily for about 90 minutes until officials made the call to send the teams home.

Arkansas (29-15, 13-7 Southeastern Conference) won the first two games of the series 2-0 and 2-1.

Georgia (16-28, 4-16) does not have a midweek game because of final exams. The Bulldogs play next on Friday when they begin a three-game series at Tennessee.

Fans holding tickets to Sunday’s game can exchange those tickets for a game later this season.
