Georgia received a commitment from a Scout.com top-100 player on Friday when Mays linebacker Natrez Patrick picked the Bulldogs over Ole Miss, Auburn and Alabama.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound prospect announced his commitment to the Bulldogs Friday night at the halftime of Mays’ football scrimmage. He was surrounded by his teammates and fans of the program as he picked the Bulldogs.
Patrick is the third Georgia commit ranked in the Scout.com top 100, along with Callaway defensive back Terry Godwin and Ensworth (Tenn.) defensive back Rico McGraw.
Patrick is considered a four-star prospect, and is the Bulldogs’ seventh commitment of the class of 2015.
Patrick is rated as the No. 5 overall player in the state.
The Bulldogs already have Godwin committed and lead for Westover defensive lineman Trenton Thompson.
Should the Bulldogs sign those three, they would land three of the top five players in the state.
