Former Georgia tailback Ken Malcolme has decided on where he plans to transfer.
Five days after it was announced that the rising redshirt junior was leaving the Bulldogs in search of more playing time, Malcome confirmed he has decided to transfer to Southern Illinois, an FCS program. He said he’s still waiting on final NCAA approval.
“It’s a ways away, but I felt comfortable with the coaches and players,” Malcome said Monday night. “It’s not too far off. It’s just right. I’m going to make what I got and make the best of it. I like it.”
Malcome said he will have two more seasons left to play and would be able to play this fall without having to sit out a season.
Southern Illinois went 6-5 last season and ranked 89th in the FCS in rushing offense.
