Fans submitting plays for G-Day scrimmage

Georgia fans who think they could draw it up better than offensive coordinator Mike Bobo will have their chance Saturday.

Tight ends coach John Lilly offered the opportunity to call a play for the G-Day game by emailing in their suggestions. He asked for the play to be diagrammed.

“The winning play will be run by the Black team offense,” Lilly tweeted.

The deadline for submissions was 8 a.m. today. By Thursday morning, they had gotten at least 20 requests.

“I wouldn’t mind if I was a halfback catching a toss sweep and then if there’s too many linebackers coming at me, just casually step out of bounds,” tight end Arthur Lynch said. “I’d love to take one to the edge and test my speed. It’s cool. I’d love to see a tackle screen or something.”
