Georgia’s depth chart for the Buffalo game is out.
Here are some things that jump out:
–Georgia is still listing safety Bacarri Rambo and inside linebacker Alec Ogletree as starters. Both are expected to be suspended for the game, but the school hasn’t announced that. Former walk-on Connor Norman is listed as Rambo’s backup and Christian Robinson is listed as Ogletree’s backup.
–Malcolm Mitchell and Branden Smith are listed as the starting cornerbacks. Damian Swann is behind Mitchell.
Mitchell is also listed as a third-team split end.
–As expected Ken Malcolme is listed as the starting tailback. The backup is listed as Todd Gurley or Keith Marshall or Richard Samuel. Gurley and Marshall are freshmen. Samuel is also the No. 2 fullback behind Merritt Hall.
–Ramik Wilson is listed as the starting outside linebacker opposite Jarvis Jones. Freshman Josh Dawson is listed as his backup.
–Freshman Jordan Jenkins is third-team outside linebacker behind Jones and T.J. Stripling. Another freshman, Josh Harvey-Clemons is listed as the third team strong safety behind Shawn Williams and Corey Moore. With Mitchell listed at receiver, freshman Blake Tibbs is not among the seven receivers listed. Ty Flournoy-Smith is the third-team tight end.
–Cornelius Washington is listed as a starter at defensive end. He’s also been practicing at outside linebacker.
–The punt returner is Branden Smith and the kickoff returner is either Smith or Mitchell.
–As expected, John Theus is listed as the starting right tackle, Marshall Morgan as the starting kicker and Collin Barber as the starting punter.
