What a difference a day makes – at least for Dominick Sanders.
Dominick Sanders wasn’t so sure he would visit Georgia on Sunday. By Monday? He was committed to Georgia.
He is the younger brother of Chris Sanders, the defensive back who was dismissed from Georgia in February 2012.
“Georgia has been coming by, and I think it was just a matter of time before they came through with an offer,” Dominick Sanders said Monday after committing. “This was a process of waiting. I was waiting for it, and that was pretty tough. But I was going to have to continue to do what I have to do.”
That meant sticking out until nearly Signing Day to pick the Bulldogs. Sanders, a three-star defensive back from Tucker, said he had built a great relationship with new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.
“One of the big reasons was Coach Pruitt, and the relationship we have, and his personality,” Sanders said. “I remember that since he was at FSU. He told me that they loved me, and that (my offer) was coming. I think that when he got there it happened.”
Sanders had been committed to UCF, and said Sunday that there was a “50/50 chance” that he would officially visit this coming weekend. That visit could still happen, but this time with Sanders being committed to Georgia.
