SEASON AT A GLANCE: Colorado‚Äôs 10-game winning streak came to an end last Saturday with a 78-73 loss to Oklahoma State at the MGM Grand Showcase in Las Vegas. After losing four of their first five games, the Bulldogs have won five straight ‚Äì including a 65-63 triumph last Saturday over Western Carolina.
NOTEWORTHY: After a five-game homestand (in which they went 5-0), the Bulldogs‚Äô next three games are on the road ‚Äì today at Colorado, Jan. 3 at George Washington and Jan. 8 at Missouri, Georgia‚Äôs Southeastern Conference opener. ‚Ä¶ Charles Mann hit two free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining last Saturday as Georgia slipped by Western Carolina; Mann finished with 13 points, trailing only Kenny Gaines, who scored 17 points against the Catamounts. ‚Ä¶ Gaines and Donte‚Äô Williams are the only Bulldogs to start all 10 games thus far this season; nine players have drawn starting assignments through the first 10 games. ‚Ä¶ Coming off the bench for Georgia is forward Nemanja Djurisic (11.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg) and Brandon Morris (10.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg). ‚Ä¶ Colorado‚Äôs 10-game winning streak included a 75-72 upset over then-No. 6 Kansas on Dec. 7; Askia Booker, who scored a team-high 15 points, sank the game-winner at the buzzer and earned Pac 12 Player of the Week honors. ‚Ä¶ Jaron Hopkins has started four games for the Buffaloes and averages 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. ‚Ä¶ Redshirt freshman Wesley Gordon has started 10 games for Colorado and averages 7.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game; he‚Äôs missed two games due to a concussion. ‚Ä¶Tad Boyle is in his fourth year at Colorado and has compiled a 79-41 record; the Buffaloes went 21-12 overall, 10-8 in the Pac 12 and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament last season.
